Everyone knows that traditionally the cost of car insurance is astronomically high for young drivers, especially for those who have only just passed their driving test. This is because statistics say that 1 in 5 young drivers will crash their car within the first year of passing their test, and so will be regarded as a high risk of road collision.
However, this young drivers advanced driving course is designed to challenge those figures as it provides extraordinary drive training to a level that is well above that required for the standard driving test. It achieves good results as it targeted at the specific areas of road driving in which young drivers are most at risk.
Buckinghamshire County Council would appreciate it if more car insurance providers came on board to back the scheme, as Get in Gear drivers do not represent the same level of high risk as other drivers.
