Feedback letters from drivers parents

Dear June,

Having recently passed his test, our son has just taken part in the Get in Gear course. We were both very impressed with the content, the way the instructor engaged, supported and challenged Adam. He has not driven since passing his test in April (2011) and does not have access to a car. However, the instuctor worked around this and commented how well Adam had done on the motorway – an experience we could not have provided!

The course has directly benefitted Adam and also us as parents to know his awareness and his experiences have been extended when he starts driving, and also if he is in a friend’s car. Really woryhwhile all round.

Kind regards

Helen S.

Dear June,

My daughter, Lizz, has recently completed the Get in Gear driving course and I just wanted to thank you, Bucks County Council and her trainer for the opportunity. Lizz said her instructor was very informative and I am sure all the information will be useful to her in future.

Kind regards

Annette Willott,
High Wycombe

Dear Russell Hill,

I would like to thank you very much indeed for the driving tuition that was provided for my son Harry last month. With the terrible weather etc. the 2 sessions he spent with you has given him extra confidence (not in a showing of way) and has made him I believe a better and safer driver, and given him an introduction to the motorways.

Thank you again and please pass my thanks to the Get in Gear Team.

Yours sincerely,

Anna Dempsey,
Chalfont St. Peter

Dear June,

I enrolled my son on the Get in Gear driving course, because he would not have done so on his own. Before the practical part of the course he unfortunately had a road accident where he and the car ended up sideways into a ditch.

However, because of the excellent teaching skills of his Tutor during the practical course he was able to go over the reasons why he came off the road and learn those extra skills to improve his driving, which generally are only ever gained by experience.

My son has since recommended the course to his friends and is urging his younger brother to enrol!

Very many thanks for giving him this opportunity

Corinne Randall,
Brill.

Dear June,

I would just like to take a mo and thank you for the excellent ‘get in gear’ course my daughter attended during the summer holiday. She really enjoyed it – far more than she thought she would and really learnt a lot. She received her certificate yesterday.

This driving course is really worthwhile for her age group, and it is a pity it is not more supported by young people, and although I know that parents of this age group are hard to target, it is probably them that the advertising needs to be aimed at.

Well done to Bucks CC for this initiative.

Many thanks once again.

Mrs Moore,
Prestwood

Dear June,

My daughter, Suzy enjoyed the Get in Gear course this evening and especially the "Goody Bag." She is looking forward to the practical driving lessons.

Suzy was then told about it at Wycombe High School. We shall certainly be suggesting the course to friends. Suzy had attended a Young Drivers Experience course at the High School when she was 16, but she did not feel this evening was repeating the classroom instruction she had then – it is worth doing both.

Regards

Mandy Ghaleb,
High Wycombe
